Gov’t to Inject 147 Bln Won in Energy Develop.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy says it will invest around 147-billion won in energy development and technology. That’s nearly 146-million U.S. dollars.
The ministry said Tuesday that it will support the research and development of electric power, both new and old energy resources and reproductive energy.
The ministry will finalize a list of key projects by September after establishing operational plans with the Korea Institute of Energy and Resources Technology Evaluation and Planning.
The ministry plans to actively support stable and economic provision of electric power as well as the development of environmentally sound technologies to counter climate change. The ministry will also assist in the development of technologies on enhancing energy efficiency and securing oil and gas resources.
