KAL Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

A Korean Air passenger plane bound for New York made an emergency landing at a Japanese airport due to a mechanical problem on Thursday.
KAL Flight 81 departed from Incheon International Airport at 11 a.m. and landed at the Shinchitose Airport in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido around 5:08 p.m. after reporting a glitch in the cockpit and the power generation system.
Three-hundred-22 crew and passengers were on board, and no casualties were reported.
