Pres. Promises Deregulation for Jeju
President Lee Myung-bak has promised to ease regulations for Jeju Island to become a world-class tourist attraction.
He made the promise in a congratulatory message to mark the first anniversary of the Korean island’s designation as a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO.
The president also complimented the island’s government for streamlining administration systems and improving economic fundamentals to boost the economy of the region.
